Researching the use of plants as chemicals to make fuels at the University of York. Plants have so many useful chemicals locked away inside and if we can make use of the waste plant material we don’t need, we can convert this into fuels. Microwaves are the key! See below!

Lots and lots of lab work, trying to understand what is inside plants, all of the molecules! Lots of time using microwaves and then using a computer and excel to understand the answers.
