yes, I have a small lawn and flowers at the front of my house, and I have planted a small cherry tree and a bird table. I have a small garden at the back of my home, but it is just gravel. I’m going to turn this into a nature garden! I have already installed a birdbath and an insect hotel.I want to create a wildflower garden with lots of beautiful trees and habitat for hedgehogs.

Do you have a garden? Have you been watching SpringWatch or other nature documentaries? Do they inspire you to help nature?

I am jealous of Emma’s garden! I don’t have a garden at the moment because I live in a flat, which is a shame. But before I moved to Edinburgh I had a garden with a pond, chickens and bee hives. I grew quite a lot of vegetables there like courgettes, beans, potatoes and tomatoes, as well as plenty of flowers for insects. I definitely want to move somewhere with a garden again soon – my girlfriend and I will probably move house after I have finished my research and we will definitely find somewhere with a garden.

Yes. When I was looking for a house, I really wanted to make sure I had a garden. I have a lawn which is bordered with flowering plants such as lupins, roses and iris’s. I have a couple of shrubs including a lilac, a hazel and bay tree. I am currently growing some sunflowers in pots in the kitchen and they will be planted in the garden in a few weeks. For my birthday I was gifted a beehive so I love to plant flowers that they will enjoy. Its fascinating to watch the bees buzzing around the flowers.
I have bird feeders (seeds and peanuts) outside my kitchen window, so I can watch them as I do the washing up! When it snowed, I also saw some badger tracks around the garden, which was very exciting.

I have a yard outside my back door but unfortunately it is not a garden!
