Bees help us by pollinating plants. Plants need to be pollinated to produce seeds and fruits and around three-quarters of the world’s crops need to be pollinated to produce food. As bees are one of the best pollinators, they are therefore very important in helping us produce enough food to feed everyone. They are so important that now that there are fewer bees in the USA they have to buy them from Australia and fly them over in planes so they can release them into fields and let them pollinate their crop.
