I feel really lucky to be in the last 4, but I think all the scientists giving their time to take part should be celebrated, because we all care about inspiring the next generation to consider careers in science. I have met lots of really cool people in the last couple of weeks and had a lot of fun. I know everyone would like to win, so they can fund their science outreach, but none of us are doing it specifically for the money, but because they really want to help inspire students and answer there questions about science. I really care about being a mentor and give a lot of my time to visit schools and run workshops, speak at science festivals and help with activities like this. I wish all the finalists lots of luck for tomorrow and students should vote for the scientist who they enjoyed talking to.

It is so great, I am over the moon!
I have really enjoyed being a part of I am a Scientist and getting to chat with all of your beautiful souls (and now budding scientists). I love being able to answer your questions as I would love to inspire any one of you to also become a scientist. I have had so much fun, so thank you for keeping me! I didn’t actually know there was a prize when I signed up for I am a scientist, so it was fantastic to realise that the project I would like funded might actually be possible! I have been trying to find funding for quite a while now. I would love to be able to visit your schools and give back the knowledge I have been taught over these years as a scientist. I have been grateful that I had lovely teachers and people to inspire me when I was younger so I really wanted to try and be that person to you all too. Good luck to everybody today, I know we have all had such a great time. It would be great it you could all vote for who you enjoyed chatting to or the scientist that has inspired you. Thank you!!

Yeah, it’s really exciting to be in the last 4. To be honest I have really enjoyed the whole experience though, being in the last 4 isn’t as important to me as some of the brilliant questions and discussions I’ve had with people over the last two weeks. But I’m really pleased that people have decided to vote for me and it would be fantastic if I got the prize money for my project. But looking at what the others have planned I think if any of us get the prize money then it will go to a really good cause.
