Yes! I love being a scientist and find it really fun sharing knowledge and inspiring other people. One of the things I enjoy most is gaining an understanding of how the world works, as I’m quiet curious and like to know ‘why and how does this work?’. I also think there are lots of fun ways of explaining science, particularly biology, so I have some giant microbe toys and other fun things to use as props to explain the world around us. I also know a lot of scientists who knit or crochet animals or objects in science, because they enjoy it and also its a great way to start a conversation. I know other people how make science art, this is things like images from the microscope which look like art but can also be used to communicate science.
Working as a scientist is fun because you often get to travel the world and talk to interesting people who are solving some really difficult problems. Everyone is enthusiastic because you are making a difference and contributing to helping people. Science might not always be easy but it is fun!
