• Question: Is pluto a planet?

      Short answer is no, Pluto is not a planet. But I would just like to explain how this came about: Pluto was found and classified as a planet in 1930, but then in 2005 scientists found a larger body called ‘Eris’. And so, astronomers debated whether it fair to call Pluto a planet if the the bigger body, Eris, was not. They debated and debated and finally decided that neither of them were planets and instead they are just called dwarf planets. What do you think?
