I just watched a lot of his TV documentaries when I was younger and they really helped to make me enthusiastic about nature, which is what led to me becoming a scientist. In particular I remember Life on Earth and Trials of Life.

David Attenborough has had an incredible life and career, I can’t believe he is 93 now and still making documentaries! It shows you the passion he has for his job.

I remember being hooked on his TV documentaries. They are wonderful and made me just want to see everything with my own eyes!
My favourite of his documentaries was Life in the Undergrowth and Blue Planet.
He is so enthusiastic about the natural world and that made me curious to find out more, which led to my career as a scientist now.
I also think he is fantastic at explaining the impacts we, as humans, have on the planet (especially as we can’t see these impacts day to day) and that the behaviour of every person matters.
