I would like to use the prize money to make a ‘Toy Box for Science Outreach’ to be shared with lots of STEM ambassadors who visit schools, so if I was lucky enough to win the money I would talk to the local schools and the other scientists and determine the most fun props and materials we could buy and use. I want to use the money to help the most young people as possible and to be as engaging and interesting as possible within the budget.
Fun things I had discussed getting include a space helmet, small robots kids can make and program, a UV torch to explore the hidden UV world and much more!

      Hi there,
I already have a plan of action if I were to win the prize.
It is a plan I have had for a while now and I just need some funding for the materials and science equipment I need.
My project is called ”Birds, Bees and all things green”. My idea is to visit schools and teach outdoor practical classes looking at wildlife and nature. I will visit different schools where I can teach students about flowers, trees, insects and birds. It will be a mixture of practical activities, art classes and working with science equipment to observe and learn about the interactions of nature.
My three nieces and three nephews all helped out by giving me the activities they would like to do and giving me ideas on what they would like at their schools.
As part of the outdoor classes we will catch some bugs, go on a tree hunt, plant our own flowers (to take home) and be given binoculars to watch the birds close up.

I really think that science needs to be practical based (as well as reading and writing) because it lets you see what is happening and is so much fun too.
