My favourite scientist is Alfred Russel Wallace – he was a British naturalist, explorer, biologist and social activist. He is best known for proposing a theory of natural selection alongside Charles Darwin. Alfred was a great world adventurer who found many of the animals we know today and he inspired me to study biology and travel the world to discover science for myself.

In recent years, my favourite scientist is Professor Alice Roberts. Alice has spend many years studying how humans have evolved and is also a biologist. She has made some really interesting TV documentaries and programmes such as ‘The origins of us’ and ‘The incredible human journey’ both about how humans evolved. Alice Roberts has also visited me at work!
