Such a great question. Yes, I love reading although sometimes I find it hard to find time. It’s funny, because I never used to read! it wasn’t until after university and I began working my first job that I had spare time and thought I should try reading more. At first I had to set myself an hour every evening, as it was hard to get into the habit. But after a had completed a few short books I really started to enjoy it. So don’t worry if you don’t enjoy reading, as you can discover it later in life!
I now read a lot, normally a book a week on average. I like popular science and non-fiction, but I also like the best-seller fiction and some biographies as well. I track my reading on Goodreads.
Hello,
I have dyslexia which is a learning difficulty- I used to find reading extremely difficult.
I forced myself to read a little chunk each week and now I absolutely love reading.
It’s only now (I’m older!) that I realise reading when I was younger made my school homework and university work easier, as well as making my work life more efficient.
Now I read books for fun depending on my mood: sometimes its funny books, factual books or books I was given as presents.
My favourite places to read are in a garden, on the beach (on holiday) or in my bed at home.
Plus, I find going to bed much better if I read a chapter of a book instead of watching TV or on a phone.
I love to read. When I was younger I used to read all the time! I love Enid Blyton and Michael Morpurgo books best. I have less time to read now but I try to.
