Question: How long have you been doing your current job?

I have only worked at the biology research council since Feb 2019 but I already love it. I work with so many wonderful people who are excited about science and want to make a difference, plus lots of people are really good at baking and regularly bring cake to work for everyone! I love that I’m already working on exciting projects and help fund cutting-edge research to solve some of the biggest problems we face, like the issue of single-use plastic.

When I was young I thought people had one or two jobs for life, but the reality is that it is very normal to change jobs every couple of years, especially while you are building skills and finding the type of work you really enjoy.
