• Question: How many science projects have you been involved in?

      I have worked in lots of different roles in different science companies (research, industry, government and non profit), so I have worked on lots of different science projects. I have really enjoyed working on projects that help a lot of people. One which stands out was when I was working in Australia and working on a project to look at specific mutations in the DNA of people with pancreas or ovarian cancer, to help identify drugs they will respond to and help develop personal medicine and better outcomes.

      I have performed about 4 experiments and have another 2 going on at the moment. Most experiments take quite a long time – to perform all the research, write it up and tell people about takes about 5 or 6 months. So I have only finished about 4 experiments over the last 2 years!
