      yes, grass, like most plants, is affected by climate change. Summers are becoming drier and hotter. Grass does naturally become dormant and brown over periods of hot dry weather, but if this lasts for longer than 3-4 weeks then the grass will die. Heat and lack of water also causes stress to plants. In places like California huge amounts of water are waster trying to keep lawns alive, and instead the government are trying to encourage people to choose native plants which require less water to conserve resources.
