The rarest plant in the world is the ‘Wood’s Cycad’. This is a fern that used to be around with the Dinosaurs. There is only one left in the whole world which is safe in Kew Gardens in London.
Another rare plant is the ‘Attenboroughs pitcher’ plant. This carnivorous pitcher plant is named after David Attenborough but is a really rare protected plant. It is most known for eating entire rats!

I believe one of the rarest plants in the world is the Ladies Slipper Orchid, which used to grow in several locations and now only grows in one secret location which has 24hr security to ensure no-one harms it. Imagine being the security guard for a plant!
