When I was at school my least favourite subject was probably French or Physics. I kind of regret both of those now as I wish I could speak another language (I can’t!) and I actually find physics really interesting now. But at school I remember a lot of it was about light and electricity and laws of motion and I didn’t find that very interesting!

As part of my research, I struggle with modelling. This is when people do really complicated maths to try and simulate things happening in the real world. I find it amazing but often hard to understand.

My least favourite subjects were German and Maths.
At the time I found it so difficult to do either and because I thought I would not need it when I was older, I did not pay much attention.
Looking back I wish I could speak another language and I really wish I paid more attention to maths. I now use maths every day!
I feel that if I just put some more effort in, I would have liked them too.
