• Question: what is your most favourite time period? e.g. stone age

      I guess the Victorian era, because it was a period of rapid change with the industrial revolution. I also quiet like the fashion of the era, and all the discoveries occurring around the world, it really was a time of exploration.

      I like the time period covered by the term ‘Ancient History’, which is a broad time period covering the time from 3,000BC to 500AD. So 3,500 years. During this time the first human cultures invented writing and started building proper structures and cities, so it’s the first bit of human history that we have a written history of. It includes the Egyptians and the pyramids, the Greeks and the invention of philosophy and democracy, the Persian empire and the rise of the Roman empire which took over much of modern Europe. It covers a lot of really interesting history.
