I wish I could climb every tree!
At work, all the trees I climb are Oak trees. These are the most common UK tree and are about 150 years old. The best tree I have climbed is a Yew tree and the highest would have to be 35 meters. This is not very tall if you think that the tallest tree in the world is 115 meters tall!

Most of the trees I visit (on holiday) I am not allowed to climb. Some trees are ancient and protected. Nobody is allowed to climb these special trees, this protection makes sure the tree remains unharmed. Another reason I cannot climb every tree I see is because you have to have a ‘climbing buddy’. This is that another trained person has to come with me to keep me safe and help if I get stuck! This is really important and I would not climb them without safety equipment or help.

I would love to climb some of the huge sequoia trees, they look amazing!
