I was more into maths than science as a kid. You get to do much mroe exciting science at school the older you are. It gets better as you get older

As a kid I didn’t think I liked science, but I loved animals and nature. I think I assumed that science was boring because my teacher didn’t make it exciting. It wasn’t until I was older that I realised my life on a farm in the countryside really helped me and gave me a love and understanding for science.

When I was a kid I was more interested in animals, particularly insects, than I was in science itself. Biology wasn’t really one of my best subjects at school. It was when I got older and started reading about science more outside of class that I got really interested – what they teach you in school isn’t always the most exciting part of the subject! I think most subjects get better and more interesting the older you get and the more you find out about them.

Hi Freya, Yes I was into science. I liked a lot of other things too though. For example I loved sport (P.E) and I really liked art, so I didn’t only like science. I started to really enjoy science when I got into high school. In high school you get to do some really cool (and more dangerous!) experiments. This was where I started to really get excited about doing experiments and other parts of science I did not even know about when I was younger.
